He has delivered two TEDx Talks, picked up over 1,300 bags of trash and litter, worked with brands such as A&W and been featured on CBC, CTV, CityNews and Much Music’s travel Magazine, Far and Wide. Sam is the youngest member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) – and one of the most sought after youth speakers in the education space, having spoken to thousands of students over the past three years.
Sam first ventured into the world of youth empowerment at the age of 17 years old after his principal asked him to speak to his high school about the initiative he founded. What Sam did not know was that this 5-minute talk would lead him on a journey to impact and inspire thousands of students across North America. When Sam is not travelling or speaking, he hosts the ‘Small, Consistent Actions’ podcast where thousands of students tune in weekly to have their questions answered.
Being 20 years-old, Sam understands how hard it is to connect with students, which is why he has made it his mission to create exceptional experiences that inspire students to live lives filled with resiliency, leadership, service and purpose. Sam is currently working on a book and a coaching program for students.
Small Consistent Actions | Helping Students Make Better Choices
Embedded within every student is the power to make massive impact inside and outside of the classroom. When Sam was in grade 12 he had a world issues teacher – Micheal Loudfoot – who taught him that all it takes to make a difference is the commitment to a small consistent action. This lesson sprung Sam on a journey to test this principle and it lead to the start of an initiative called PickWaste that was featured all over national news. Using this keynote Sam challenges students to rethink what is possible for themselves. Watch the video above for a short preview.

As a student, Sam’s journey to figuring out what he wanted took him to Italy for 6 months, a fifth year of high school, conferences across North America, and university.
